Calf Augmentation
The calf muscles are genetically some of the most difficult muscles to develop and soft implant can be inserted through a small incision behind the knee. There are 2 heads or bellies to this muscle and the procedure can involve augmentation of either the inner head, outer head or both. This is performed on both men and women. It is usually performed on both sides but can be used to improve symmetry if there is an obvious imbalance from developmental abnormalities or trauma.
