Pectoral Augmentation (Pec Implants)
Most commonly performed on men. This procedure involves the insertion of carefully styled implant entirely under the pectoralis muscle which makes it completely natural in terms of appearance and feel. The incisions are hidden in the armpit. Dr. Pielet probably does more pectoral augmentations than anyone in the Midwest. We have samples of the various implant options in the office. This procedure is usually performed on both sides but can be used to improve symmetry if there is an obvious imbalance from developmental abnormalities or trauma. Implants can also be used to correct a congenital deformity known as pectus excavatum where the breastbone is severely sunken in.
