Face Lift (Rhytidectomy)

A procedure that can eliminate the most visible signs of aging by reversing the effect of gravity, removing excess skin and fat and often tightening muscles throughout the facial area in order to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and smooth out the skin. The typical areas addressed are the cheeks, the lines extending from the corner of the nose to the corner of the mouth (nasolabial folds), jowls, marionette lines, as well as folds and fat deposits around the neck area.

Typically performed on men and women between 40 and 60, there are several different methods and the specific procedure is tailored to the individual’s particular concerns. This procedure is often combined with other facial procedures such as brow-lift and eyelid surgery.
