Chin Reshaping (Genioplasty)
This procedure involves either the use of a chin implant or repositioning the chin portion of the lower jaw (sliding genioplasty). Dr. Pielet is one of the few surgeons experienced at performing sliding genioplasty and is sought out nationally for his expertise. Not only can a weak or recessive chin be enhanced, but also, a prominent chin can be reduced or the vertical height of the lower face can be adjusted to achieve better facial balance. This is often combined with rhinoplasty. Computer imaging is very useful in planning this procedure.
